Its been an eventfull year for the A.P&D RACE TEAM,tony and i discused the race season before the first race and realized it would be a tough year financialy.so tony decided to only run the 28 car owened by tony and let me drive.i was reluctant at first because i wanted tony to be out there racing too.after alot of talk with tony and the reality of my financial sittuation i decided to take his offer.
i drove the first race with tony's setup and found out i sucked so we tried my set up but over adjusted it on rear bite that took the car from extreamly loose to pushing like a big woman at target on black friday ha ha!
we put it back on the scales and got it pretty good.At the race with the sprint cars the car felt great i was really looking forward to the main!! about three laps in the 08 hit me in turn three and bent the left rear rim making it an inset instead of an offset and broke the left front tie rod at the same time,so we were done for the night.after that night we ran around fith for a few races.Then the mortor started to labor so tony had a new one built.[ THIS IS WHERE IT REALLY COUNTS TO HAVE SPONCERS]i would have been done at this point!we got the new bullet in and were really excited to run up front with the cars that were setting the pace this year, just to name a few 22,25,44,12,17,16,08 and others.I wanted to be in there with them and at this time we were up in the points.the car ran very strong and again we were confidend in the car,well i started up front and was right behind the 33 running in third on the second lap comming out of four when out of no where the 22 drove right over my left front wheel then the hood. SO again another impatent driver took us out of the race.i few races later we had to sit one out,we were working on my car and got it done for the fair race tony couldn,t make that night. i was runnig up around forth and had plenty of time to run down the leaders when i got ran up the wall down the back sterch and broke the left rear shock we finished 7th not bad!but sence we were in third in points we had to pull down the motor at the track that was the most stupidest thing you could do to a motor!!we got dirt in the motor and lost a push rod for what $70 dollars in prize money i'll not do that again,they can have my points.the second to the last race tony was able to run his car but had to start back in the feild and finished 10th good race i hit the wall comming out of four and got a flatt on the first or second lap so i had to work my way up again,on a restart tony waved me up in front of him to get a better start THATS A TEAM MATE FOR YOU THANKS BRO i finished 7th.the last race we had a very heavy track and i messed up a few times and lost the 16 &25 and couldn't keep up but got my only trophy for the year third not bad i would say.I REALLY HAVE TO THANK MY BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER TONY LIMA for trusting me with his #28 hot rod it was a pleasure to drive and sorry for all the dammage to it.and thanks to all the freinds and familey that helped this the year.
